The Fabrication of our lives...
June 28, 2009
Ok, so Al Gore made this speech a few years at the ACS to blast the Bush Administration for so-called anti-American practices; he pretty much said that Bush and Co. did away with any debate when it came to declaring a global war on terror…
At the same time, you had Gore saying that the Global Warming debate was over and that his side was victorious.
Fast Forward to 2009 and you have Gore saying this:
Al, who is the fearmonger here?

We dream of robots; we get postmodern life...
June 5, 2009
I remember hearing--when I was a kid--that someday robots would take over the world. Meaning that by 2009, robots would be ruling our mediocre asses with a literal Iron fist.
However, that never did quite come to fruition--and we are stuck with this retrograde postmodern world.
When I was a youngster, there was this place in Wisconsin--RobotWorld--that would always advertise itself during the Saturday morning cartoons. I for one was excited about a future that included robots. Recently, I wondered if RobotWorld still existed. After searching--via the internet and land line--I found out that in fact RobotWorld--which is/was located beside the Tommy Barttlett Water Show Extravaganza--is now referred to solely as the Exploratory Interactive Science Center--and as you might have guessed no Robots are in attendance. Apparently, the robots were removed in 2007. I think it had something to do with race envy. Though, if one is still interested, I think the center owns a piece of the MIR Sat. that fell to the earth's ground several years ago. It sounds like a fun time if you are a tang or light beer lover.
Anyways, how does this relate to the postmodern world? Well, for starters it is a telling sign that we are more interested in disolving metal than pushing forward in being truly progressive in nature. Everything that is now deemed cool did not get its start in modern times; it--so-called modern coolness--is something that flew out of our cultural vacuum. In my estimation robots represent the true ideals of modernism--realism.
I guess we will have to wait and see...

I have finally decided to do away with the old site and start up a new site. For one, I have become quite neglegant when it comes to blogging and talking lately. I hope--and I really mean it this time--that I will be able to devote much of my time to this new project...
I really hope to write about the shit that really is getting my blood boiling. What is getting my blood boiling? Well, I guess you will have to wait and see...
Here is preliminary list of what I want to talk about:
- Robots
- French Fries
- Economics
- Dogs
